Kim's 3rd Album Preview Party

I am so proud to say I am ready to record my 3rd album and I am waiting on this party above for the fans to vote on the songs they want to hear out of the 18 I wrote.  I already recorded the first single "Barefoot and Bra-less" at a studio in Nashville in preparation for the summer music video shoot I'll be doing.  I absolutely can not wait for you to hear this song.  It is catchy and all about women's comfort.  I think the guys will appreciate it as well for different reasons I am sure .  I can use all of your support for this next CD so I can take my career to the next level and give you all a great album.  Stay tuned as I have many opportunities for the fans to help.  For those in NJ, come on out to see this show and pick the songs you want to hear.  For those out of state, don't worry I'll find a way to get your opinion on the songs.  For now, Rock on and thanks for your continued love and support.

Happy New Year/ Third CD plans for 2013

I remember when I did this photo above with Sheila Norkis in my backyard with a glass of white sweating and getting bit my mosquitos for my Thankful CD.  I can't believe it has been over a year since I released that CD in August of 2011.  It took me a year and a half to finish that CD with the help of SBG Music Studios in Robbinsville and Underdog Studios in Texas.  Looking back I wouldn't change a thing since I learnd so much.   I am super excited about the material I have for you guys for CD three.

My plan for 2013 is as follows: Barefoot and Bra-less music video, find a studio that will do my next CD, photo shoot, kickstarter video to try and fund this next CD, record the CD and release it.  If I can I'd like to do most of this work above this year with your help.  Stay tuned and I'll keep you all posted on the details as they unfold.  It takes a village nowadays to do a CD independantly and I hope I have the support of my amazing fans.

Blessings,

Kim Yarson

Vacation helps to keep me grounded and writing

LBI Photo shoot, by Mark Jakubicki

I had a wonderful time at the beach relaxing, catching up on reading one of my all time favorite hobbies next to songwriting.  I read a book called the Soloist which was a wonderful story about a violinist who became schizophrenic after dropping out of Julliard and ended up as a bum on the streets of LA.  It is a great story for musicians who love to play no matter where their life leads them.  I also read the Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks which was about research done on people's tissues without their consent and how millions of dollars were made off of her while her family remained poor.

Not only did I read while on vacation, but I was re-writing many songs I have had on the back burner due to lack of time.  I really enjoy the solitude and free time I get when at the beach.  Our family usually wakes up and lounges for a litte while then we go to the beach or bay for two or three hours, then home to do with our time as we please until dinner and sunset.  It is a great routine we have grown to love and cherish.  I have some great new songs for my third album I am accumulating for you all for a concert that will hopefully happen by year's end or beginning of 2013.  You get to choose what you want on my next CD!

Lastly, I enjoyed doing my annual photo shoot with my cousin Mark which was not only fun but we got some great photos too.  This year's photos feature my brand new guitar and thankful strap.  All photos can be found under the photo icon here on my site.  I played with Gyrl Band at Kubel's Too in LBI to conclude my vacation.  I am well rested and ready for whatever God wants of my music.  I will continue to take lead guitar lessons, write songs for the third album and then I am going to pitch my music heavily this fall.

As always, thanks for the continued support of my music.  Drop me a line to say hi anytime here on my site or on my facebook page. www.facebook.com/kimyarson

God bless always,

Kim Yarson

New Single "I Want To Live" now for sale as download

I Want To Live

Well I have had the unique opportunity to be asked to co-write a very beautiful song called "I Want To Live".  This song was presented to me by my songwriting student John Connolly during his third lesson.  I told him to keep re-writing and I'd think about it.  By the eighth session, he'd come pretty close to being done, so  I promised him I'd bring the song with me to the Poconos where I could concentrate and be in quiet to write.  Simultaneously, I was in extreme pain trying to pass a kidney stone.  My kids went out for a walk and I sat down with the song and knew if it wanted to be written it would come.  No sooner did I have the chords and I began to sing the lyric and then I revamped the lyric to fit my melody and "Presto" a song was born.  Irony, this song is sung from the fetus' perspective pleading for its life, "I Want To Live".  I am not one to say who is right or wrong or to preach but I don't mind at all giving a voice to someone who has no voice.  In doing so, I made sure I interviewed someone I knew who had to make the painful choice of abortion during a very tough time in her life.  She still gets upset talking about it but her story helped to shape the second verse.  My goal with this song is to help the unborn child to get a chance and to humanize it because everyone deserves a chance to live and to love.   I am working on the song for the post-abortive woman to help soothe and comfort them after the fact.

Give this song a listen, it is the first song you hear when you come to my website.  It is for sale as download under download icon at very top of my page.

God Bless,

Kim Yarson

Hey Kim,
I ran into your mother at Debbie's Deli on Liberty St.and we were catching up regarding her life and mine. I asked about your two brothers and you. Regarding your career she told me what you are doing and to look you up on the internet. WOW, good for you, I so love when I hear of good people which I know from my younger years doing well in life and with their career. I am listening to you sing as I type this note and can hear that you are very talented, I would enjoy seeing you perform someday. Keep your passion moving forward and use the hard work ethic you've learned. Best of luck and good fortune!
Regards,
Domenick Forchi

Kim, as I said before, my wife, her sister, friend and I all love your CD "Satisfied". There's a nice mix of songs on there, with plenty of heart, faith and soul! It's nice to hear songs with such meaningful lyrics, especially when their lessons can apply to things we have been through. "The Art of Letting Go" is great, as is "Promise Me" and of course our favorite, "I Am Soul". The last one surely deserves national airplay. We look forward to hearing your next CD. I enjoyed reading the stories behind your songs. Keep on writing and singing! John

Kim,

We just wanted to thank you and the artist in advance for your willingness to do this for Juju and us.
Thank you for donating your time.
Juju has multiple challenges daily and they are exhausting after a while. Moments like this that truly help renergize us.
God and Jesus gives us continued hope and mercy that one day their will be a cure for all disease's effecting young and old. We pray daily for the opportunity to spread awareness about mitochondrial diseases. When you sing and play on Saturday please know you are not just helping Juju, but educating a community on empathy, hope and love. Keep lighting the up your awesome gifts. We pray that Jesus is with each and everyone of you on Saturday. Travel mercies to and from the event are being lifted up.
We are excited to meet you and thank you in person.
